Warranty Conditions

Effective date: April 2026

Propshaft Master guarantees all new and reconditioned propshafts for a period as stipulated below:

  1. On-Highway Vehicles (Heavy and light trucks; Busses and LDV’s)
    2 (two) year unlimited mileage – from date of invoice (unless specifically otherwise stipulated on invoice)

  2. Off-Highway Vehicles (Heavy and light Trucks; Busses and LDV’s)
    1 (one) year unlimited mileage – from date of invoice (unless specifically otherwise stipulated on invoice)

  3. Off Highway Vehicles (Earth Moving and Mining)
    1 (one) year unlimited hours from date of invoice (unless specifically otherwise stipulated on invoice)

  4. Heavy Industrial Cardan Shafts
    1 (one) year – from date of invoice (unless specifically otherwise stipulated on invoice)

  5. Light Industrial Propshafts
    1 (one) year – from date of invoice (unless specifically otherwise stipulated on invoice)

  6. Functional Repair (Option 2)
    3 (three) months – from date of invoice (unless specifically otherwise stipulated on invoice)

A. The warranty will be honoured on condition of the following requirements being adhered to:

  • Working Length of the drive shaft is correct

  • Minimum and Maximum Working angles are correct

  • Connecting dimensions to the mating components are correct

  • Working conditions for u-joints are favourable (correct application)

  • “Re-lube u-joints” to be re-greased at least every 3 months or 500 hours (whichever comes first) under favourable conditions (correct application)

  • Re-lube operating instruction must be followed:

    • Grease nipple head to be cleaned

    • Universal joints: Pump grease until it shows from all spider bearing shells

    • Sliding section: Pump no more than 30 grams of grease

  • Excluded on warranty: labour cost and collect-and-delivery costs

  • Warranty is also subject to N.C.R (Non Conformance Report)

B. Propshaft Master do not accept liability:

  • If the shafts are fitted to non-standard vehicles which do not conform to manufacturers specifications

  • If the shaft is tampered with by a third party without a representative of Propshaft Master being present

  • For accident damage

  • For any incorrect fitment (if the shaft was not fitted by Propshaft Master)

C. Propshaft Master will accept liability to full value not exceeding the original Propshaft Master invoice amount should a replacement shaft not be available

D. Propshaft Master will not be responsible for any breakdown, towing, accommodation and/or hire costs or any other inconvenience

E. Propshaft Master will not be responsible for the loss of a propshaft or allied components once collected by a courier service

F. The Client must notify Propshaft Master of any vibration or fault on the vehicle prior to any regression of situation

G. Delivery: ± 1 (one) day after receipt of official order (unless stated otherwise on invoice)

H. Price Validity

  • Heavy Industrial components: 30 (thirty) days from date of official quote

  • Light Industrial and Commercial components: 14 (fourteen) days from date of official quote

I. Propshaft and allied components will remain the property of Propshaft Master until the invoice is paid in full

J. Old parts will only be kept for a period of 7 (seven) days from date of repair

K. Breakdown costs as well as collect and delivery cost will be applied on warranties as well
